Building resilience

Taking care of ourselves physically has a measurable impact on our performance at work, on our general sense of well-being and on our future health and happiness.

The Office for National Statistics report that 3 in 10 employees will have a mental health problem (mainly depression and anxiety disorders) in any one year.

The challenge is how to enable yourself and those in your organisation to put into place sustainable changes that achieve physical and mental balance. SyCon - The Sporting Bodymind Group has synthesised 20 years of experience in both sport and business psychology to develop the Building Balance Model for developing Personal Resilience. The model addresses all areas of well-being: what, when and how we eat, how we keep our bodies generally active and how we recharge both physically and mentally. Of central importance is the interplay between the three areas – meaningful changes in one area can often only be sustained by meaningful changes in another.

"The main thing that struck me is the depth of intelligence they bring to their programmes. There is no hype, just genuine desire to help individuals and organisations to improve their performance."
